Who We Are

Part-time Residents are not "summer people" or "tourists." We have chosen to plant roots in this community because we love it here.

Member Spotlight

Member Spotlights feature part-time residents who are doing extraordinary things in life, and in the PTown community. One member recounts a town employee once said to him,  "You're a part-timer? But I see you here all the time!" To participate in Member Spotlight and tell your Provincetown story, please contact us.

Member Spotlights have been on hiatus for several months. During that time, the PPRTA has continued its efforts to provide a voice for Provincetown Part-time resident homeowners. The Association has made some in-roads despite being met by a repeated inaccurate depiction of Provincetown part-time residents. Indeed, the president of this organization has often fallen prey to these inaccurate stereotypes. And so, Spotlights returns to its mission of presenting true portraits of PPRTA membership. It seemed fitting to begin with an interview of PPRTA President, Steve Fossella.

Michael is originally from Massachusetts, so vacations on Cape Cod were standard. He attended MassArt in the late 60’s when the thing to do was to hitchhike to Provincetown. He fondly remembers dancing the jerk at the A-House to “Multi & the Barbarians”.
